The Vanguard is one of the Roles in LawBreakers. As the Vanguard, hold SHIFT to use afterburners allowing her to move around the battlefield with ease. E will toss out a meteor shell, showering her opponents with exploding shrapnel and is combined nicely with Q, her starfall ability, which will deal a heavy blow to surrounding enemies and create a zero-g bubble.

Breaker Character
Toska-9 - A former Russian Air Force pilot recruited by the Valkyries, Toska-9 was top of her class until The Syndicate came calling with a lucrative offer that was too good to pass up. Disgusted by the Valkyrie preoccupation with justice, and looking for a payday, Toska-9 defected leaving a pile of bodies in her wake. An infamous contract killer with no remorse, Toska-9 knows the world is a place where her unique skills can earn her a lot of cash.

Law Character
Maverick - Maverick is proud of her Latin heritage, of the Valkyrie insignia she wears, and of her collection of late 20th-century pop culture memorabilia -- right down to her call-sign, a throwback to one of her favorite old movies. Her best flight instructor may have felt she embodied too much of the recklessness associated with that name, but could never contest the passion she devotes to her job.

Description

Vanguards feature full-flight capabilities with afterburners strapped to their backs, a powerful tri-core cannon mounted to their suits, and an array of cluster grenades that can carpet a location in anti-personnel explosives. Once charged up, their suits can turn a Vanguard into a veritable fireball, capable of shattering enemies on impact and distorting gravity around them.

  • Shoots 3 hitscan projectiles per shot, which deal 5 up to 13 damage each, depending on range
  • The rate of fire increases and the maximum spread decreases over the first two seconds of firering
  • 3.5 seconds reload time
Pulsar

RMB.png Fuel blast that inflicts damage and pushes enemies.
Starfall

Q Dive-bomb and leave low gravity pocket.
  • Jump in the air and channelling for about 1 second
  • Then diving rapidly in the direction of aim knocking all enemies back dealing up to 200 damage and creating a low gravity zone (only in non low gravity zones)
  • 75 seconds cooldown
Meteor Shells

E Cluster of 5 grenades best used in combo w/ the Hydra.
  • Throws out 5 micro grenades in a predefined shape
    • Each grenade deals 40 damage on direct impact (5 x 40 damage = 200 damage)
    • Grenades deal reduced splash damage
  • You can damage yourself with this ability!
  • 9 seconds cool-down
Afterburners

SHIFT Allows for jet-like mobility via direction of aim.
  • Consumes jet fuel which lasts about 3 seconds
